Product Description
Applications of PVDF solar backsheet film: PVDF film serves as a replacement for Tedlar in the production lines of solar backsheet composites, and it is also used in seawater desalination, wastewater treatment, lithium‑battery separator lamination, and outdoor architectural membrane projects, among others.
Detailed description of the PVDF solar backsheet film production line: PVDF film, chemically known as polyvinylidene fluoride. Our company’s GWS75 production line is capable of manufacturing PVDF cast films with a thickness of 25–30 μm and a width of 1,250 mm, operating at a line speed of 20 m/min and achieving an output of up to 120 kg/h. The GWS90 production line can produce PVDF solar backsheet films with a thickness of 25–30 μm and a width of 1,250 mm, running at 30 m/min with an output of up to 180 kg/h. Meanwhile, the GWS120 production line is designed to manufacture thick PVDF sheets for silicon wafer acid‑washing, with thicknesses ranging from 1 to 10 mm and a width of 1,250 mm, delivering an output of approximately 350 kg/h.
Common characteristics of PVF and PVDF films: Both are fluorine‑ or fluorocarbon‑containing copolymers that exhibit superior chemical bonding and structural stability compared with other polymers. Consequently, they do not react with atmospheric pollutants, and even highly corrosive solvents cannot damage them, ensuring that the protected metal surfaces resist rusting and that decorative finishes remain colorfast and resistant to embrittlement. They also avoid microstructural changes induced by UV exposure, so sunlight does not accelerate their aging. Furthermore, they maintain stable microstructures despite repeated temperature cycling in operating environments, tolerating a wide temperature range of 180°C (–70°C to +110°C), making them suitable for outdoor applications across virtually all regions of the globe. Suzhou Jinwei’er Machinery Co., Ltd. has successfully put into mass production PVDF‑coated solar backsheet lines for numerous domestic manufacturers. The films feature uniform thickness and high dimensional accuracy, with products thoroughly validated by the market. We welcome you to visit and inspect our facilities!
PVDF film (polyvinylidene fluoride film) is a film produced through a cast‑stretching process. PVDF material boasts numerous advantages, including excellent wear resistance, superior corrosion resistance, outstanding aging resistance, good thermal stability, flame retardancy (low smoke), resistance to ultraviolet radiation and nuclear radiation, impact resistance, strong weatherability, high mechanical strength and toughness, and mold‑inhibiting properties.
Main applications of the PVDF film production line:
1. PVDF solar backsheet film production line:
The film is used as a solar backsheet, protecting the solar cells, with primary functions of aging resistance and abrasion resistance.
2. PVDF outdoor decorative film production line:
The film is used to protect outdoor architectural glass, exterior walls, doors and windows, and outdoor billboards, primarily providing resistance to aging and abrasion.
3. PVDF battery separator production line:
The film is used as a separator in fuel cells and lithium-ion polymer batteries.
4. PVDF filter membrane production line:
Membrane filtration membranes are used for water purification and are categorized into ultrafiltration membranes and microfiltration membranes. They are primarily employed in wastewater treatment and seawater desalination to remove large molecules, bacteria, suspended solids, salts, and other impurities.
5. PVDF piezoelectric film production line:
PVDF piezoelectric films offer advantages such as a wide frequency response, a large dynamic range, high force–electricity conversion sensitivity, excellent mechanical strength, and easy acoustic impedance matching.
