Product Description
PVB film is a semi‑transparent interlayer that exhibits excellent adhesion to inorganic glass. It is characterized by transparency, heat resistance, cold resistance, and high mechanical strength, making it an ideal adhesive for laminated glass production. PVB film can absorb impact energy and prevents the formation of sharp shards, which is why this type of safety glass is widely used in automobiles, high‑rise buildings, bank counters, and various bulletproof applications. In addition to its superior safety performance, PVB laminated glass also offers excellent sound insulation, light control, thermal insulation, heat shielding, and vibration damping, making it an ideal material for manufacturing safety glass.
Main applications of the PVB interlayer production line:
1. PVB Automotive Safety Glass Film Production Line: PVB film is primarily used as the interlayer in automotive windshields.
2. PVB architectural glass interlayer production line: PVB film is primarily used as the interlayer in high-rise building glass.
3. PVB solar encapsulant film production line: The PVB films produced are used for encapsulating thin-film solar cells.
The PVB interlayer production line of Suzhou Jinwei’er Machinery Co., Ltd. Features: PVB film width: up to 3,600 mm; PVB film thickness: 0.38–1.52 mm; output: 500–800 kg/h; shrinkage: ≤2%; total line length: 28 m. The line can be slitted to the desired width according to customer requirements and boasts the following characteristics:
1. Adaptable to various processing types across numerous material systems
2. From material feeding to roll winding, with automatic batching and mixing, the system features full PLC integration and can be delivered as a turnkey project.
3. High production capacity, low energy consumption, and a high degree of automation.
PVB interlayer production lines are available in two configurations: a dry‑process method, also known as the roller‑passing process, which involves cast extrusion, air‑cooling and shaping followed by winding; and a wet‑process method, or water‑passing process, in which the cast extruded film is cooled and shaped in a water bath before being dried and wound. These two processes differ significantly in equipment design and cost. The main extruder can be configured as either a single‑screw or a parallel twin‑screw unit, depending on specific requirements and raw material characteristics.
